This page explains what Sukoshi Tako ("the app") collects and how it is used. The app is operated by Taichi Akimoto, an individual developer.
What we collect
- An anonymous ID — a random string the app creates automatically. It is not tied to your name or email address. We use it to group one player's hiding spots and to prevent abuse.
- Display name — the name you type when playing in a group. Other people in the same room can see it.
- Hiding spot content — the colors painted on the body, the position inside the game, and the pose. In a group it is visible to people in the same room; in worldwide mode it is visible to other players. Worldwide mode shows no names.
- Reports — when you report or block in worldwide mode, we record which hiding spot it was for, so that we can review it.
- Play records — which mode you started or finished, how long it took, how many you found, and similar. On iPhone this includes the OS and app version. We use it to find problems and understand how the app is used.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your real name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, or photos. The app does not use the camera or microphone. It does not use an advertising ID.
How we use it
Only to run the game, fix problems, and improve the app. We do not use it for advertising and we do not sell it.
How long we keep it
- Group rooms (including display names and hiding spots): removed automatically within 2 days.
- Play records: removed after 30 days.
- Worldwide hiding spots: replaced after 30 days, and the paint data is removed about a day later. A record of when and on which course it was left, and the anonymous ID, are kept after that.
- Your IP address is used only to check that requests are not being sent too quickly. It is not stored.
Service providers
Data is held with the following providers. Connections are encrypted.
- Cloudflare, Inc. — servers and database
- Google LLC (Firebase Authentication) — issuing the anonymous ID
Deleting your data
Email italyitalienitalia@gmail.com. The Support page explains what we need to find your data. Deleting the app removes the ID and settings stored on your device.
Children
The app is not directed only at children under 13. Children under 13 should use it together with a parent or guardian.
Changes
When this policy changes, we update this page and the date above.
